Rap Legends Bone Thugs-N-Harmony Take the Stage at the Westland Mall Drive-In

Rapper Twista also on the bill for a memorable night of hip hop

COLUMBUS, OH–October 19, 2020–On Friday, October 30, one of hip hop’s most prolific groups,  Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, will bring their iconic sound to Prime Social Group’s Westland Mall Drive-In Concert Series presented by Pepsi. 

“Bone Thugs-N-Harmony music touches generations of hip hop fans. This is an awesome addition to the drive-in series that will attract fans young and old,” said Zach Ruben, President of Prime Social Group.

Formed in the early 90’s in the Glenville section of Cleveland, Ohio, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony are best known for their fast-paced rapping style and harmonizing vocals. The five members making up the group Krayzie Bone, Layzie Bone, Wish Bone, Flesh-n-Bone, and Bizzy Bone have been making award-winning music together for over 3 decades.

Their 1996 release of the song “The Crossroads” was the highest-debuting rap single when it debuted at number two on the US Billboard Hot 100, reaching number one the following week and staying there for eight consecutive weeks. It also reached number one in New Zealand, where it was the most successful single of 1996. In 1997, the song won a Grammy for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group. 

Since the groups’ inception, they have been recognized and honored with numerous other awards from the American Music Academy, MTV, and Soul Train. Bone Thugs-N-Harmony is also the only musical group to do acts with Eazy-E, 2Pac, Notorious B.I.G., and Big Pun. Bone Thugs-N-Harmony is also recognized as one of the most successful hip-hop groups selling 50 million records.

Twista will also be joining the ticket for the evening and bringing his unique chopper style of rapping. Twista is known as one of the fastest rappers in the world being able to pronounce 568 syllables in 55 seconds.

Bone Thugs-N-Harmony with supporting act Twista will perform at the Westland Mall Drive-In presented by Pepsi on Friday, October 30. Doors open at 6 pm. Tickets range from $99-299 per vehicle.  Each ticket to the Westland Mall Drive-In admits one standard passenger vehicle (car, truck, SUV) with up to (4) passengers, with additional passenger tickets being offered for a maximum vehicle capacity of up to six (6) people per vehicle. As a rule of thumb, there must be a legal seat and seatbelt for all the passengers within the vehicle. In addition, per COVID-19 compliance, any party with over four (4) people must all be from the same household.

About the Westland Mall Drive-In presented by Pepsi

The Westland Mall Drive-In is located across from the Hollywood Casino at the intersection of West Broad Street and Georgesville Road. The Venue has approximately a 550 vehicle capacity. Each vehicle entering the Drive-In will be assigned a 15X20 parking/tailgating space corresponding to their ticket level (Gold VIP, Silver VIP, and General Admission). The venue hosts live national and local artists, comedy shows, movie nights, and more. The Drive-In is also available for rentals by organizations and nonprofit groups.
