$15 presale one day only, January 22, 2019, in honor of National Hot Sauce Day
Columbus, Ohio—January 22, 2019— MGNOW, the Columbus based event firm behind many of the areas award-winning festivals, and CD102.5, the region’s largest independent radio station, are pleased to announce the inaugural Columbus Fiery Foods Festival on Saturday, August 10, 2019 from 2 PM—10 PM at the Columbus Commons. The event will benefit the children’s charity CD102.5 for the Kids and showcase the fiery side of life with restaurants, hot sauce and salsa vendors, and exhibitors from around the country.
The day-long celebration is the second festival collaboration between CD102.5 and MGNOW. “We’re looking forward to producing another event together that fills a much-needed void in the central Ohio festival scene,” said Mike Gallicchio, president MGNOW. Randy Malloy, president of CD102.5, echoed Gallicchio’s sentiments and added, “Columbus is such a great foodie city and a festival celebrating all things hot and spicy has been needed for a long time.”
Festival-goers can expect to satisfy their need for heat by sampling everything from BBQ to salsa to sweet treats with a kick from various restaurants, hot sauce and salsa makers, and other specialty vendors. The event will also feature a market with crafters and artisans.
Guests can also become part of the action by participating in the Local Salsa Competition, Hot Pepper Eating Contest, and Chili Cook-Off. Contest details will be posted on the Fiery Foods Festival Facebook Page starting June 1, 2019.
Restaurant, vendor, and sponsor applications are now being accepted for the event. By the time the festival rounds out in August, over 15 Fiery Foods vendors, restaurants and exhibitors, and 20 artisans and crafters are expected. Tickets are required to attend the event and are available starting January 22, 2019 through Eventbrite by searching Columbus Fiery Foods Festival. And in honor of National Hot Sauce Day, a limited amount of presale tickets go on sale for one day only, January 22, 2019, for $15 per ticket and includes all the benefits of a general admission ticket.
Early Bird tickets are on sale now for $20 until SOLD OUT. Admission to the event includes an engraved fork, festival beer glass, food samples, and 2 (12 oz) beers or 2 nonalcoholic beverages if under 21 years of age.
