Music is Therapy Presents the 7th Annual Summer614 Music Festival

Lineup includes Hip-Hop Legends MC Lyte, Scarface, 8Ball & MJG, along with R&B Icons Chrisette Michele, Ro James and Bobby V

In addition to an evening of amazing live music, the annual festival will highlight the impact music has on the soul through a variety of wellness experiences.

COLUMBUS, OH–May 6, 2024 – Experience a powerful fusion of legendary hip hop and iconic R&B at the 7th annual Summer614 at the John F. Wolfe Columbus Commons in downtown Columbus on June 1, 2024.  

As in years past, Summer614 promises an unforgettable experience with a stacked lineup This year the festival welcomes hip-hop legends MC Lyte8Ball & MJG and Scarface, alongside R&B icons such as Chrisette MicheleRo James and Bobby V. In addition to great music, the festival this year emphasizes wellness and healing through newly added therapeutic experiences inspired by impactful stories from the Mothers of Murdered Columbus Children.

Lineup detail:

SCARFACE with LIVE BAND: Immerse yourself in the gripping narratives and intense performances of Scarface, backed by his dynamic live band.

MC LYTE: Witness the groundbreaking talent of one of hip-hop’s pioneering female artists.

RO JAMES: Get swept away by the soulful melodies and smooth vocals of Ro James.

8BALL & MJG: Enjoy the compelling lyrics and energetic beats from these Southern rap legends.

BOBBY V: Experience the romantic and smooth R&B tunes of Bobby V.

CHRISETTE MICHELE: Feel the emotional depth and powerful soul of Chrisette Michele’s music.

Bobby Ferguson, the event organizer, expressed his enthusiasm for the integration of music and wellness, “SUMMER614 has evolved to not only be one of the best festivals in the midwest to experience the very best of urban music, but also a space where healing is facilitated through music.” He continues, “ This year, we’re proud to introduce a wellness lounge and a silent disco, specifically inspired by Rhonda Clayburn and the Mothers of Murdered Columbus Children, whose stories remind us of the transformative power of music.”

Doors open at 3 p.m., welcoming attendees to a day filled with stellar performances, local food and drinks, and wellness-focused features designed to provide peaceful and healing environments, complementing the vibrant musical atmosphere.
