COLUMBUS, OH – June 17, 2021 – Today Prime Social Group released the daily lineups for the much anticipated Breakaway Music Festival, Columbus edition. Single day tickets to the festival go on sale today at 12 p.m. EST.
The impressive collection of acts range from world-renowned EDM artists to Billboard pop and rap music chart-toppers. All are set to perform September 3-4 at the Historic Crew Stadium.
Friday Main Stage Artist Detail
Norwegian born musical prodigy, global superstar, and Spotify “Breakout Artist” Kyrre Gørvell-Dahll better known as, Kygo, headlines Friday evening. Since introducing himself in 2013, he has amassed over 15 billion cumulative global audio and video streams and 3.3 billion YouTube views and has and continues to break streaming records. He emerged as Spotify’s “Breakout Artist of 2015” powered by singles “Firestone” [feat. Conrad Sewell] and “Stole the Show” [feat. Parson James]. These hits cemented him as “the fastest artist to reach 1 billion streams on Spotify.”
Kygo earned one of his biggest hits with the multiplatinum “It Ain’t Me” [feat. Selena Gomez], going Top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 and clocking nearly 1 billion Spotify streams. Other collaborations include mega-hits with U2, Imagine Dragons, The Chainsmokers, Ellie Goulding, Rita Ora, and Chelsea Cutler. In 2019, Kygo unleashed Whitney Houston’s “Higher Love” and generated another 1 billion combined streams and views. In 2020, he released his third full-length album “Golden Hour” with the anthems “Like It Is” [with Zara Larsson & Tyga] and “I’ll Wait” [with Sasha Sloan].
In addition to Kygo, other acts rounding out the Main Stage on Friday include Gryffin who’s known for smash-hits like the single “OMG” with Carly Rae Jepsen; the relatable Chelsea Cutler; “I Feel Like I’m Drowning” artist Two Feet; Grammy nominated EDM artist Elderbrook, and TikTok sensation, Jessie Murph.
Gryffin: DJ, song writer, and producer Gryffin first gained recognition for his remixes of “Talking Body“, “Animals“, and “Desire” and has consistently topped the music charts. A self-described “Melodic House Artist”, Gryffin incorporates the sounds of piano and guitar for a unique hybrid organic and electronic sound. His 2019 release of the album “Gravity” peaked at number one on the U.S. Dance Charts. His single “OMG” with Carly Rae Jepsen hit number one on Billboard’s Dance Club Chart.
Chelsea Cutler: The relatable lyrics and handcrafted lo-fi soundscapes of Chelsea Cutler have established her as a quiet, yet disruptive force in popular music. Within a few short years, the singer, songwriter, and producer went from uploading music from her bedroom to racking up over 800 million-plus streams with acclaim from the likes of Billboard and Complex. The recent release of her debut album, How to be Human, hit the Top 40 radio charts with the project’s lead single, “Sad Tonight.”
Two Feet: Two Feet a.k.a. Zachary William “Bill” Dess’ unique sound mixes blues, hip hop, electronic, and jazz to create a sound that touches the soul with its emotional and intense vibe.Two Feet’s quick rise to stardom began in 2016 with the release of his single “Go F**k Yourself” which quickly went viral on Soundcloud. He followed up in the summer of 2018, with his breakthrough single “I Feel Like I’m Drowning” that hit #1 on Billboard’s Alternative Chart. The 2020 release of his debut album “Pink” has gained him critical acclaim, and the track “Grey” has over 1.4 million streams on Spotify.
Elderbrook: Grammy nominated Elderbrook hails from the UK and is known for his versatility as a musician. Elderbrook’s most notable song is his collaboration with CamelPhat, titled “Cola“. The song reached number one on both the Dance Club Songs chart in the United States and Indie Chart in the United Kingdom. It was also nominated for Best Dance song at the 2018 Grammy Awards.
Jessie Murph: There’s plenty of buzz surrounding 16-year old Jessie Murph who’s amassing views, likes, and fans on TikTok. With vocals reminiscent of Amy Winehouse, the singer has nearly 3m followers on the platform. 2021 has been busy for Jessie with the release of two singles “Upgrade” and “Look Who’s Crying Now”.

Friday evening’s lineup on The Corona Electric Beach Stage where beats meet the beach features a slew of world-renowned and up and coming DJs including Channel Tres, Sonny Fodera and Bakermat, John Summit, Sam Blacky, Rosedriive, and Zaandr.

Set to headline Saturday evening is ILLENIUM. The Denver-based producer is one of the most successful crossover electronic artists to date and has elevated dance music with his bold, progressive take on the genre. His expansive sound, which mixes elements of celestial electronic, mellow alternative, rock-fuel dubstep, emotional indie, and pop-tinged bass music, has topped the U.S. charts, garnered more than 4 billion collective streams and solidified the breakout artist as a festival-headlining act. Hailed by Billboard as one of the Top Dance/Electronic Artists, ILLENIUM has captivated millions of self-identified, die-hard “Illenials” around the world who share a direct and personal bond with him through his music. With a string of hits including “Takeaway”, “Good Things Fall Apart”, “Crawl Outta Love”, “In Your Arms” and “Hearts on Fire” fans won’t be disappointed.
Along with ILLENIUM, other acts taking the Main Stage include the self-described “electro-pop-house-whatever” producer from Nantes, France, Madeon; rap sensation 24kGoldn who rose to fame with the single “Valentino;” EDM duo SOFI TUKKER; platinum selling artist Sam Feldt; writer/producer Alexander 23, and the mysterious duo ilo ilo.
24kGoldn: Rapper 24kGoldn rose to fame in 2019 with his single, “Valentino“, peaking at number 92 on the US Billboard Hot 100. It was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America in April 2020. In July 2020, his single “Mood” [feat. Iann Dior], topped the Billboard Hot 100, becoming the highest charting song of his career. In March of this year, he released his debut studio album “El Dorado”.
SOFI TUKKER: House/EDM duo SOFI TUKKER consisting of artists Sophie Hawley-Weld and Tucker Halpern are best known for their songs “Drinkee“, “Best Friend“, and “Purple Hat“. “Best Friend” was featured in Apple’s IPhone X commercials. Their single “Drinkee” was nominated for a Grammy in 2017. Their first full length album “Treehouse” was nominated for Best Dance/Electronic Album at the 2018 Grammy Awards.
Sam Feldt: Uplifting’ best describes Dutch DJ, producer, platinum selling artist, and activist Sam Feldt. Billboard described Feldt as “a modern house superstar”. The single “The Devil’s Tears” was one of Spotify’s top 10 most viral tracks. In 2019, Sam released his track “Post Malone“, which has over 375 million streams on Spotify. In 2020, Feldt revealed his own record label known as Heartfeldt Records and has also created his own charity, The Heartfeldt Foundation, which raises awareness on global warming.
Alexander 23: Writer and producer, Alexander 23 made his debut in 2019 with “Dirty AF1s” and the critically acclaimed debut EP “I’m Sorry I Love You.” He recently teamed up with Selena Gomez to remix her hit song, “Rare”, and released the track “IDK You Yet,” that’s quickly moving up Spotify’s Pop Rising chart.
Ilo ilo: The mysterious creators behind the up-and-coming duo, ilo ilo remain anonymous to the public in hopes that listeners are uninfluenced by a personal image. The group received much praise from the 2019 debut single “come thru” and continue to do so with their recently released single “Barricade”.

Igniting The Corona Beach Electric Stage Saturday include Sidepiece, Ship Wrek, EV, Beach Boys, Mitch James x Reckless, DJ Press Play, Bonnie x Clyde, and The Williams Fam.
The Breakaway Music Festival is set to also make stops in Grand Rapids, Michigan August 27-28 at Belknap Park and Charlotte, North Carolina October 1-2 at the zMAX Dragway located at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Each city has its own curated lineups.
