Prime Social Group Launches Westland Mall Drive-In and Announces Drive-In Concert Series in Columbus, Ohio

Series kicks off September 10 with an all Ohio show featuring MojoFlo and The Floorwalkers

COLUMBUS, Ohio– September 3, 2020–Today one of the country’s most experienced and respected concert promoters, Prime Social Group (PSG) announced the opening of their new socially distant COVID-19 compliant drive-in event venue, The Westland Mall Drive-In, in conjunction with their first-ever drive-in concert series.

“Our fans have missed having live music in their lives amid the COVID-19 pandemic. As an organization, we had to reevaluate all of our operations and recreate the amazing PSG experience our audience expects while offering peace of mind regarding health and safety. We have put together an awesome and exciting series in a unique setting that I feel people will really enjoy,” said Zach Ruben, Co-Founder of PSG.

PSG worked closely with local officials when developing the drive-in concept in order to comply with all COVID-19 guidelines. “When we decided we were going to bring live music back to Central Ohio, we knew our number one focus had to be on protecting the health and safety of our fans, staff, artists, and crews,” said Ruben.

To accomplish this task every operational aspect has been built with compliance in mind. Some of the measures taken to ensure a safe environment include hand-sanitizing stations, cleaning and sanitizing of lavatory areas every hour, social distancing, and on-site concession delivery. Facial coverings are also required of all attendees, staff, and crew when outside of vehicles or while in any common area.

The venue, located across from the Hollywood Casino at the intersection of West Broad and Georgesville Road offers the perfect setting for this reimagined outdoor live music and event space.

The drive-in, operating throughout the fall, will feature local and national acts from a variety of musical genres as well as film, and comedy. The venue is also available to outside organizations and nonprofits looking for an open-air location in the age of COVID-19.

Unlike traditional concert tickets that are purchased individually, each ticket to the Westland Mall Drive-In will admit one standard passenger vehicle (car, truck, SUV) with up to (4) passengers, with additional passenger tickets being offered for a maximum vehicle capacity of up to six (6) people per vehicle. As a rule of thumb, there must be a legal seat and seatbelt for all the passengers within the vehicle. In addition, per COVID-19 compliance, any party with over four (4) people must all be from the same household.

Guests to the drive-in can expect to see an amazing show in the comfort of their oversized parking/tailgating space. “People can have fun with their space,” said Ruben. “They can enjoy the show from their car, in the bed of their truck, or can even bring folding chairs with them as long as they fit within their 15X20 parking and tailgating space.”

To ensure a true concert experience, the venue is equipped with LED Screens flanking the main performance stage, and all the events are broadcast over an FM transmitter. Merch Areas, Food Trucks, and concessions will be on-site and offer options such as car delivery.

The drive-in series kicks off on September 10 with an all Ohio line-up featuring the neo funk sound of MoJo Flo and the rock and soul vibe of The Floorwalkers

“We are so happy to return to doing what we do best and that is creating amazing and memorable concert experiences. While things may look a little different, we are confident people will appreciate the return of live music to their lives,” said Ruben.

VIP and General Admission Tickets to MoJo Flo and The Floorwalkers as well as the entire concert series, go on sale September 4 at 11 am at Because of limited capacity at the venue, guests are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance for entry efficiently and limit unnecessary contact at the gate.
