Nationally Recognized Festival Celebrating 13 Years of Culinary Delight and Community Spirit.
Columbus, OH – January 4, 2024 – After a brief hiatus in Downtown Columbus and a successful relocation to the Franklin County Fairgrounds in Hilliard for the 2021, 2022, and 2023 events due to pandemic-related challenges, the Columbus Food Truck Festival is ecstatic to announce its triumphant return to not just Downtown Columbus, but also the Franklin County Fairgrounds in Hilliard. The festival, now in its 13th year, will mark the occasion by taking place in two vibrant locations, showcasing the best of Ohio’s food truck scene during separate weekends this summer. The last time the event graced Downtown Columbus was in 2019.
Named Best Foodie Event in the state by Ohio Magazine in 2017, the Columbus Food Truck Festival has earned acclaim for its commitment to delivering an exceptional culinary experience. The festival features the best mobile food vendors from throughout the region, along with crafters, artisans and makers, and dozens of bands on two stages.
“We’re thrilled to be back in Downtown Columbus where the festival first began its journey. At the same time, we are immensely grateful for the warmth and support extended to us by the Hilliard community during our time at the Franklin County Fairgrounds. This dual-location setup for 2024 represents a significant milestone in the festival’s history, and we can’t wait to celebrate our 13th year with our loyal patrons,” says Chas Kaplan, Co-Founder and Co-Organizer of the Columbus Food Truck Festival.
Mike Gallicchio, Co-Founder and Co-Organizer, adds, “The return to Downtown Columbus and the continuation of our presence in Hilliard are testaments to the resilience and adaptability of our festival. We are deeply thankful for the support we’ve received, and we are excited to continue the tradition of bringing together the best food trucks, live music, and a community-driven atmosphere.”
This year’s Downtown edition of the Columbus Food Truck Festival will take place along the Scioto Peninsula on Friday, July 12, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday, July 13, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. The Hilliard edition taking place at the Franklin County Fairgrounds is scheduled for Saturday, August 17, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

While the festival’s mission is to support food tourism in the Central Ohio area and support small businesses, another very essential component to the festival is to help build awareness and support local non-profit organizations that serve the Central Ohio community. Since the festival’s inception in 2010, over $97,000 has been donated to local charitable organizations.
This year, the festival is thrilled to announce Music Loves Ohio has been named as one of the nonprofit partners. Stay tuned for more exciting partnerships and announcements in the coming weeks.
The festival also extends sincere appreciation to community partners, including the Center of Science and Industry (COSI) and the Junto Hotel, for their invaluable support. The Junto Hotel will be offering special room rates in conjunction with the festival, and details will be posted on the Columbus Food Truck Festival website soon.
